Terrace-style apartment blocks for sale in Millers Point
Property NSW, on behalf of Family and Community Services, has launched the sale of three properties as part of the Millers Point sales program.
The properties, built in circa 1911, are a group of early twentieth century apartments built as part of the post plague redevelopment by the former Sydney Harbour Trust. The apartment blocks feature spacious verandas with ornamental brackets in the Federation style.
The following properties will be sold by McGrath Estate Agents on May 16:
- 22-28 High Street – block of eight, two-bedroom apartments.
- 18-20 High Street – block of four, two-bedroom apartments.
Also launching today is 5-7 High Street, a block of four, three-bedroom apartments. The property will be sold by Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty also on May 16.
Meanwhile, Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty this week sold 11-13A Dalgety Road via auction for $5 million.
A total of 177 properties have been sold in Millers Point, raising circa $550 million for investment in new social housing developments in NSW.
As of 28 February 2018, a total of 839 units have been completed and 320 units are currently under construction as a result of the Millers Point sales.
New social housing is being constructed in areas of identified need across NSW including Bankstown, Fairfield, Sutherland, Coffs Harbour and Wollongong.
Conservation Management Plans (CMPs) endorsed by the NSW Heritage Council are included in contracts for sale for all heritage listed properties. These contracts ensure new property owners are fully informed of their responsibilities when purchasing a heritage listed property.
