Eight Millers Point properties were sold today by Property NSW, on behalf of Family and Community Services, providing a further $15.3m for social housing.
The eight three-bedroom terraces were sold via an open Expression of Interest and bid process and include:
3 Windmill Street- sold for $1,875,000
7 Windmill Street- sold for $2,160,000
13 Windmill Street- sold for $1,850,000
17 Windmill Street- sold for $1,851,000
23 Windmill Street- sold for $1,840,000
31 Windmill Street- sold for $1,852,001
35 Windmill Street- sold for $2,009,556
41 Windmill Street- sold for $1,830,000
The sale of these neighbourhood titled properties marks a new stage in the Millers Point sale program, with a diverse mix of lofts, other apartments and blocks of units set to be listed on the market in the coming months.
A total of 102 Millers Point properties have been sold to date, delivering circa $278.75m for social housing.
All properties sold in Millers Point are accompanied by strict heritage protections; including NSW Heritage Council-endorsed Conservation Management Plans.
Proceeds from the Millers Point sale program will fund 1,500 new social housing dwellings across the State, with more than 600 new fit-for-purpose social housing dwellings funded to date.
