Millers Point delivers a further $25 million boost for social housing

Five Millers Point properties were sold today by Property NSW, on behalf of Family and Community Services, providing a further $25.5 million for social housing.

The five properties, each containing four two-bedroom apartments, located on High Street, were sold via an Expression of Interest bid process and include:

  • 38-40A High Street - sold for $5.31 million
  • 50-52A High Street- sold for $5.10 million
  • 58-60A High Street- sold for $4.9 million
  • 62-64A High Street - sold for $5.0 million
  • 66 -68A High Street- sold for $5.19 million

The sale of these properties marks the commencement of the 2017 Millers Point sales program, the proceeds of which will contribute to the funding of 1,500 new social housing dwellings across the State.

A total of 130 Millers Point properties have been sold to date, delivering circa $370 million for social housing.

All properties sold in Millers Point are accompanied by strict heritage protections; including NSW Heritage Council-endorsed Conservation Management Plans.
